Thailand's major firmed up PE offers to China

According to market players, a major Thailand producer has announced new price for mid-April delivery to China with an increased of $30/t to reach $1140/t for HDPE film, $35/t to reach $1150/t for HDPE yarn, $20/t to reach $1150/t for LDPE film, and $10/t to reach $1170/t for LDPE heavy duty, all on CFR China, L/C AS basis.

A buyer commented, “We feel that the new offers are a little above the market level at the moment, however the producer is conducting a scheduled maintenance shutdown at their plant in which they claim to have very limited cargoes. At the meantime, other international suppliers are also lifting their prices for the same good reason. We will monitor market’s respond before making decision.”
