Major Thailand lifted May HDPE offers to China

Market players reported that a major Thai producer has announced HDPE offers for May shipment to China with an increased of $90/t compared to last month to reach $1230/t and $1240/t for HDPE film and HDPE yarn respectively, both based on CFR China, LC A/S basis.

A trader said, “The supplier informed that they have already restarted all PE lines after maintenance shutdown, however, there are no other cargoes available at the moment. We feel this offer is a little too high, especially when fresh contract prices are opened with $20/t reduction, which widens the gap between contract and spot offers to $110/t. We are is mid of discussion to conclude deal.”
