A key local producer in Indonesia has opened fresh weekly prices with moderate price reductions on all PP grades, under extreme pressure from the distribution market; while keeping PE offers on the firming track.

Over the past couple of weeks, spot homo-PP yarn and injection cargoes have been transacted in the range of IDR 18,500,000-18,600,000/ton excluding VAT, FD Indonesia, which are way lower than the producer’s official price list.
“It only makes sense for the producer to lower the offers, even though supply is not high. Offers in the distribution market have not changed this week, hence the pressure on the producer,” a market source commented.
