Oil rose sharply as the impact of Omicron might be short-lived



International benchmarks for crude oil rose more than 3% on Tuesday, 11 January 2022 following the remark from the US Federal Reserve that the impact of Omicron on the global economy would be short-lived.

Brent jumped $2.85 or 3.5% to close at $83.72/barrel. 

WTI rose $2.99 or 3.8% to close at $81.22/barrel.
