International benchmarks for crude oil rose sharply on Wednesday, 26 January 2022 supported by supply tightness and rising political tension between Russia and Ukraine that further threaten the supply outlook.
Brent gained $1.76 or 2% to close at $89.96/barrel.
WTI rose $1.75/barrel to close at $87.35/barrel.
