According to market sources, Iran's Bakhtar Commercial Company (BCCO) has unexpectedly shut its PE plant over the weekend due to technical glitches.

Based in Mahabad, Iran, the 300,000 tons/year LLDPE/HDPE swing plant is expected to remain off-stream for 20 days. Sources closed to the company informed that the plant was mainly producing LLDPE grade before shutdown.
