A power outage occurred in the southern city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan during the early hours on 3 March 2022 forcing several petrochemical plants in the area to shut down. Although the electricity has been restored by the second half of the day, these petrochemical producers might need days for cleaning, safety inspections before they can restart.
At least one producer has told its customers to expect some impacts on the delivery as a result of the production disruptions.
