International benchmarks for crude oil fell more than 2% on Thursday, 24 March 2022 after the European Union members failed to agree on a new set of sanctions against Russian oil and gas, and Kazakhstan could partially resume export via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) after a storm damage the terminal and halted export from this country in the previous day.
Brent fell $2.57 or 2.1% to close at $119.03/barrel.
WTI fell $2.59 or 2.3% to close at $112.34/barrel.
