The earlier gains on the Dalian Commodity Exchange were obviously not sustainable. Major petrochemical contracts collapsed during the overnight session, with PVC futures plunged to the lowest levels since early November 2020. Fears ruled the market as Shanghai announces three days of mass COVID-19 testing, which could lead to some forms of containment measures taking place.
