International benchmarks for crude oil took a dive on Monday, 1 August 2022 after official data showed manufacturing activities across United States, Europe and Asia struggled for momentum in July, raising concerns about the demand outlook.
Brent fell $3.94 or 3.8% to settle at $100.03/barrel.
WTI plunged $4.73 or 4.8% to close at $93.89/barrel.
