The latest report from the Energy Information Administration showed the total commercial crude inventories in the US fell 1.4 million barrels in the week ending 30 September, ending the two consecutive weeks of building up.
Refineries in the country operated at 91.3% last week, a 0.7% higher than the week before.
Meanwhile, gasoline stock depleted 4.7 million barrels to 207.5 million barrels – signalling that demand remains resilient in the country.
