Oil settled mixed on expectations for loosening China’s COVID controls

International benchmarks for crude oil settled mixed on Tuesday, 29 November 2022 after the Chinese Healthy Ministry said the country would speed up the vaccination for elderly people, aiming to overcome one of the biggest hurdles in easing the zero-COVID policies. However, the gains were capped by concerns that OPEC+ would not adjust their production outputs in the next meeting on 4 December.

Brent fell 16 cents to close at $83.03/barrel.

WTI added 96 cents to close at $78.20/barrel.
