Market players reported that major local producers have lifted their PVC prices to domestic buyers by INR1500/t ($22/t) at the beginning of the week. A buyer received the new price commented, “Demand has shown some signs of slowing down recently, however we think that the main driver behind these price hikes is the depreciation of the Indian rupee.”
Currently, local PVC prices in India stand at INR56500-5700/t ($835-843/t) without VAT and excised tax, EXW term.
