A major maker from Southeast Asia has increased $10/ton for its HDPE film and yarn offers to China today as compared to last week to reach $1150-1160/ton, both on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A source from the company commented, “We managed to sold some HDPE yarn at the level of $1140/ton since beginning of the month and to be on par with the firmer energy and upstream costs, we have implemented $10/ton increased for last week and this week. The responses from our customers toward the firmer offer levels are not encouraging hence we believed that range of increment for the offers in the near term will be limited.”
