Couple of Saudi Arabia producer has announced fresh prices to Vietnam mostly at stable to firmer levels compared to last week. Many players are placing bids at below $1000/ton threshold, however all get rejected.

A distributor offered on behalf of a Saudi producer informed, “We open homo-PP prices at $1000/ton CIF Vietnam, some $30/ton increased from last week and we have no plan for negotiation this time due to small quantity available. Couples of our customers have accepted the cargoes, and in addition to the firming propylene monomers costs, we think market would continue to pose small increases in the near term.”

Another buyer place bid at $990/ton for another Saudi cargoes informed, “Our supplier has refused the accept the bid. It seems that prices at below the $1000/ton threshold is vanishing, hence we might only take a small quantity at the latest offers.”
