Market players reported that Mehr Petrochemical Company (MHPC) has switched its HDPE production from film grade (7000F) to injection grade (2200J) this week due to some unexpected issues at the production line.

Based in Assaluyeh, Iran, the HDPE unit has a production capacity of 300,000 ton/year. The situation is expected to remain about 3 weeks, and the supply for HDPE film (7000F) from the plant might remain limited for the near term, according to a source closed to the company.
