Market sources reported receiving fresh PP and LDPE offers from a major Southeast Asian producer at lower levels compared to last month. The maker reportedly cuts all LDPE prices by $30/ton, touching $1260/ton for LDPE film, $1300/ton for LDPE injection, $1330/ton for LDPE lamination, all based on CIF/DAP Southeast Asia, LC 0-30 days term.

The producer’s PP prices stand at $1100/ton for homo-PP, down $20-30/ton from last month; $1200/ton for PP block copolymer, down $40/ton from last month while PP random copolymer remain unchanged at $1280/ton, with the same term.

A distributor informed, “Malaysia market is rather weak at the moment and some of our customers refused to replenish material amid slow end product business. Sentiment here is bearish, however we hope to see better demand in the near term.”
