Despite weaker energy cost last night, ethylene prices in Asia continue to journey south where CFR North East Asia and South East Asia prices has reduced $35/t and $40/t respectively compared to end of last week, to reach $890/t level. The significant reduction of prices is due to the weaker demand in major markets, especially China, which is entering Chinese New Year holidays soon.
