International benchmarks for crude oil ended the trading session on Tuesday, 18 July 2023 with increases as the Chinese government vows to introduce more pro-growth measures to facilitate the economic recovery process. Meanwhile, easing inflation in the US also stokes expectations that the FED might halt the monetary tightening cycle sooner.

Brent gained $1.13 or 1.4% to close at $79.63/barrel.

WTI jumped $1.60 or 2.2% to settle at $75.75/barrel.
