Korea's YNCC restarted olefin conversion unit



According to market sources, South Korea's Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Center (YNCC) has restarted its olefin conversion unit (OCU) on Monday, 29 August 2016 and currently operating at 70% capacity. Sources said that the company would maintain the current run rate still end of September.

The OCU that produce 140,000 tons of propylene per annum was shut on 3 August 2016 due to mechanical glitch. It uses ethylene and crude C-4 as feedstock.
