Market sources reported that JX Nippon Oil & Energy is planning to shut its No. 2 fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) unit for a scheduled turnaround by this weekend.

Based in Negishi, Japan, the unit has a propylene production capacity of 90,000 ton/year. It is expected to remain off-stream until early November 2016.
