PTTGC becomes first foreign company to obtain SNI certification for PE in Indonesia

PTTGC's attainment of the SNI certification underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality products.

PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC) has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the prestigious SNI (Indonesian National Standard) certification for its polyethylene resin under the brand “InnoPlus.” This accomplishment makes PTTGC the first foreign company to receive this accreditation for PE raw materials.

The SNI certification is a set of standards and assessments for products produced in Indonesia. The Indonesian government has been promoting the implementation of SNI in manufacturing processes to boost the acceptance of Indonesian products in the international market.

Although SNI is not mandatory at the moment, authorities are exploring the possibility of making it a blanket requirement on all products and services produced in or marketed in Indonesia.

PTTGC's attainment of the SNI certification underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality products. The company encourages stakeholders throughout the supply chain to adhere to SNI standards to enhance product quality, increase consumer trust, reduce recall risks, and boost market competitiveness.

"The Indonesian market is crucial for our plastic resin segment due to its growing demand, strategic location, and favorable economic policies," said Mr. Saroj Phuttammawong, Chief Operating Officer – Value Added Products. "Achieving the SNI certification is a strategic move for us as a leading global chemical company with a strong presence in Indonesia."

PTTGC's proactive approach in exceeding standard requirements highlights its dedication to excellence and its role in setting a benchmark for quality in the industry.
