Japan's Shin-Etsu to shut PVC for maintenance



According to market sources, Shin-Etsu Chemical Co Ltd is planning to shut its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant for a scheduled turnaround in May 2016.

Based in Kashima, Japan, the plant is able to produce 550,000 ton/year of PVC. It is expected to remain off-line for approximately 4 weeks.
