A major producer from Thailand have implemented price reduction as much as $5/ton for HDPE film and yarn to reach $1145/ton and $1155/ton respectively to China today, both at a CFR China, LC at sight term, due to disappointing market responses.

A trader received the offers commented, “Our suppliers informed that this round of offers has faced stiff resistance from the market as lots of buyers, including our customers tried to bid for lower offers yesterday. We feel that HDPE film with offers above $1150/ton level are difficult to be accepted by customers.”
