Demand for coal-based LLDPE film remained subdued, with Shenhua selling only 40% of its allocated volume despite a stronger Dalian Commodity Exchange. Buyers maintained a cautious approach amid persistent market weakness. A recent survey revealed that packaging film production rates were 10–20% below typical March levels, highlighting the sluggish post-holiday recovery.

In contrast to the sluggish demand on the Shenhua Auction Platform, Shandong Yulong achieved solid auction results, which market sources attributed to its distinct location and customer base. With the producer still in the early stages of ramping up its newly constructed petrochemical complex in Shandong, China, buyers anticipate higher auction volumes once all units are fully operational.
