A Thailand producer reportedly announced fresh weekly offers to Vietnam and Indonesia market today at higher levels for HDPE while rolling over PP prices to Indonesia.

In Vietnam, latest offers stand at $1165/ton for HDPE blow molding and $1170/ton for HDPE yarn, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

Meanwhile, Indonesian players reported received latest offers at $1190/ton for HDPE film, injection, blow molding and yarn, at $1120/ton for homo-PP yarn and injection, $1160/ton for PP film and $1180/ton for PP block copolymer, all based on CIF Indonesia, LC AS term.

A source close to the producer informed, “We have very limited quantity for HDPE due to the upcoming shutdown, therefore we plan to hold firm on our prices. There are also several other HDPE shutdowns across the region, and for this we think prices might hold firm in the coming week.”
