Trading during the session was largely inactive, with only a few homo-PP yarn parcels finding buyers, while copolymer grades drew no interest. Participants noted that the offered prices were broadly in line with prevailing spot levels but failed to ignite demand.
“Even discounted domestic spot offers this morning struggled to draw interest,” said a local trader. “Market confidence remains weak, and most players prefer to observe external developments before committing.”
The lackluster outcome reinforced the bearish tone across the PP market, as converters continued to operate at low rates and maintain lean inventories. With most of Yulong’s October quotas nearly sold, market attention is now turning to the producer’s early-November allocations and potential signals of price direction in the next trading round.
