On 29 November 2016, the Pakistan government initiated an anti-dumping investigation on import PVC from China, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand to the country, which was lodged by the country’s sole PVC maker – Engro Polymer & Chemicals Ltd.

Under the preliminary determination, the anti-dumping duties rate applied on each producer in the mentioned countries are varied. Details are shown in the following table: 

At the moment, this remained a preliminary decision and there is no fixed deadline on the final rule out. Players are monitoring closely on this issues as it might impact the general sentiment
