A major Thailand producer reportedly sold out this week allocation to Vietnam market shortly after implemented $25-30/t hike on HDPE cargoes and $45/t hike on PP block copolymer.
Source from the producer said, “We did not offer any discount this time given limited availability. Our April allocation is almost depleted and we think prices would continue to firm up in the near term. We have stopped offering right now and aiming for price above $1200/t level for HDPE cargoes in the coming week.”
The producer concluded HDPE yarn at $1195/t, HDPE film, injection and blow molding at $1185/t and PP block copolymer at $1050/t, all on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.
