According to market players, there is a considerable quantity of Middle Eastern and Iranian HDPE film being offered on a basis of re-exporting from Hong Kong warehouse to Vietnam today at $1165-1170/t CIF, LC AS term.

A buyer purchased the cargoes at $1170/t said, “We found this level to be competitive given the promptness. We expect the market to continue to firm up in the near term, hence near-by cargoes are highly preferred."

Another trader received offers for re-export Iranian HDPE film from same supplier added, "We are considering as most of our regular customers are not familiar with this grade. However, the short delivery time is an added advantage."

Import HDPE film to Vietnam is currently reported at $1160-1180/t CIF, LC AS term.
