PT Polytama Propindo is planning to lift PP output from its existing plant in West Jawa, Indonesia to 300,000 tons per year by 2019, a spoke person from the company informed the media on 18 December 2017.
The expansion would be carried out progressively, the company said. It is targeting to raise output from the current 180,000 tons per year to 240,000 tons per year by 2018 and to 300,000 tons per year by 2019. A total investment of USD 10 million has been allocated for the project.
Besides, Polytama is also planning to construct a new PP unit, adjacent to the existing complex – the Polytama II. It is learnt that feasibility for the new plant has been completed and at the moment, the company is still discussing related raw materials to be used, including propane, naphtha, or methane. No further details on the new plants are obtained at the time this report is published. However, the Polytama II might come online by 2020 or 2022.
