Another Saudi Arabia producer has announced fresh offers for limited PP and PE quantity to Vietnam on the firs trading day of the week with $100-130/ton increased from last month. The producer’s price list and changes are shown in the following table:
Buyers are showing a little hesitation towards the hike citing the recent fall in ethylene costs to be the concern. However, limited availability continues to give suppliers an upper hand in the negotiation process. “Due to the impending maintenance shutdown in February, we are not having large allocation this month. As a result, we might only be able to offer small discount for regular customers,” a source close to the producer said.
