In an official email to its Vietnamese customers, a distribution arm for Saudi Arabia's Eastern Petrochemical Company (SHARQ) informed that the plant has been facing serious technical issues at LLDPE lines, which hamper export allocation for August.
It is unclear on how long the company would take to restore regular operation rate, however, it is working to minimize the impact on customers. Eastern Petrochemical Company owns two LLDPE lines at the Jubail complex with a combined capacity of 750,000 tons/year.
There is no information on whether the 800,000 tons/year HDPE lines affected by the mentioned issues.
