It is reported that Keiyo Ethylene has restarted its naphtha cracker in Chiba following a ten days shutdown for repairing work during mid of February. The unit is designed to produce 768,000 tons per annum of ethylene and 400,000 tons of propylene.
The cracker is currently operating at 100% capacity, sources said, claiming that the company might keep the run rate high in the coming days given the healthy margin between naphtha and ethylene.
