According to market sources, Korea Petrochemical Industry Co (KPIC) is planning to shut its steam cracker for scheduled maintenance by 30 March 2019.
Based in Onsan, South Korea, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 800,000 tons/year and propylene capacity of 500,000 tons/year. It is expected to remain off-stream until 28 April 2019.
