After reviving the economic sanctions on the Iranian crude oil, the USA government is mulling over more aggressive enforcement of its sanctions, targeting more companies and financial institutions.
In fact, the USA government is aiming to deprive Iran’s sales of petrochemical products to Singapore and its sales of consumer goods to Afghanistan. Media reports said that petrochemical exports are the second largest source of revenue for Iran, after oil.
Many Iranian banks are having currency exchange operations outsides of the country and these institutions are being targeted under the new sanctions.
