A Malaysian producer reportedly reducing LDPE film prices to Vietnam by $40/ton compared to last week at $1260/t CIF Vietnam, LC AS term in the face of weakening demand.

Source from the producer said, “We managed to conclude 200 tons of material after the discount, however most buyers are very reluctant to replenish cargoes. We think market might continue to face downward pressure as the off-peak season in around the corner.”

Import LDPE film to Vietnam is currently reported at $1190-1260/t, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.
