Market players reported that a major Thailand producer has make further adjustment on its PE offers to China at softer trend compared to last week. The producer has reduced $20/t and $30/t for LLDPE and HDPE cargoes respectively while keeping LDPE offers stable.

Latest price list from the marker stands at $1190/t for HDPE film, $1200/t for HDPE yarn, $1250/t for LLDPE film and $1220/t for LDPE film, all on CFR China, LC A/S basis, for late May-beginning of June shipment.

A trader commented, “Prices have move lower compared to our supplier’s initial offer last week. However, the overall price levels are still considered high and we are not having confidence if buyers are willing to accept as market sentiment today do not show any sign of improvements.”
