Top China and USA officials met during the weekend on the side of the G-20 meeting in Osaka, Japan to agree on a trade truce as both countries resume afford to resolve the intensified trade war.
Both countries have agreed on three aspects, including:
1. Returning to the negotiation table to resolve the differences in the trade talks.
2. The US government agreed to withhold any additional tariffs on Chinese imports until further notice.
3. US companies can continue selling their equipment to Huawei
It is understood that China also agreed to purchase more agricultural products from the USA.
All the previously imposed tariffs on both sides, however, remain in place at the moment.
