Philippines's JG Summit has taken its PP unit off-stream for planned maintenance work last week, market sources reported. The unit is expected to remain offline until end of this month. Source from the producer reported that there is no shutdown schedule at their naphtha cracker at the moment.
Based in Batangas, Philippines, JG Summit produces 190,000 tons/year of PP. Meanwhile, the company is also planning a shutdown at its 320,000 tons/year PE plant within this month.
