As reported on 20 September 2019, a fire broke out at Haldia Petrochemical plant in India and firefighters took several hours to put the situation under control.
However, a source familiar with the matter informed that the incident did not impact the naphtha cracker and the cracker is currently operating at full rates. The cracker is able to produce 676,000 tons/year of ethylene and 350,000 tons/year of propylene.
