After several months of delay, it is reported that Dongguan Grand Resource Science and Technology Co Ltd (JuZhengYuan) has brought its upstream propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit online during the National Day holiday. The unit is designed to produce 600,000 tons/year of propylene. At the moment, the company is working to stabilize its production rate.

Meanwhile, JuZhengYuan also owns two downstream PP lines at the same complex in Dongguan, each has an annual capacity of 300,000 tons/year.

According to a source close to the producer, the company has started-up No. 2 PP line on 6 October 2019 and currently operating at a low rate, producing homo-PP yarn grade. The No. 1 PP line has yet to come online at the moment. 

The company previously planned to startup the complex in April 2019, however, it faces several months of delay.
