The Chinese Customs Department informed that starting 2020, the import data for the month of January and February would no longer be reported separately, instead, data for these two months would be combined and reported by the month of March.
Explaining the changed in reporting method, the Department said that due to the Spring Festival that usually falls into the first two months of the year, import and export data for January and February are significantly fluctuated and do not reflect the actual situation of the foreign trade during this time frame.
