It is reported that the Malaysian authorities have approved the proposal that exempts several industries in the country from the Restriction of Movement, including the petrochemical and plastic manufacturing sectors.
In an official email from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) to the Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA), the government body required companies in the sector to operate at lower rates while following the Ministry of Health’s guidelines in disinfecting the factory area. Companies also need to submit a list of workers who will be working in the factories during this period.
