Market sources reported receiving fresh offers from another major Saudi Arabia producer with reductions compared to last month for both PP and PE cargoes. Indeed, the maker cut price for LLDPE film, HDPE film and PP block copolymers by $90/ton and homo-PP injection by $120/ton from last month.
The producer’s latest price list stand at $1170/ton for LLDPE film, $1130/ton for HDPE film, $980/ton for homo-PP and $1110/ton for PP block copolymers, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.
A buyer reported, “Our supplier is willing to give additional discount if we commit to larger discount, however, we are not confident about the market outlook, therefore we prefer to wait a little longer.”
