According to market sources, Shanghai Golden Philips Petrochemical Company Limited is planning to resume its operation after the Chinese New Year holidays in February. The company was forced to shutdown the PE unit unexpectedly on 21 January 2016 due to technical glitches.
Based in Shanghai, China, the unit has capacity of 135,000 ton/year of PE.
