Southeast Asian buyers reported receiving fresh PP and PE offers from a major Saudi Arabia producer for July delivery at increased compared to last month. Indeed, the maker lifted HDPE film price by $30/ton to reach $1160/ton, LLDPE film by $20/ton at $1190/ton, homo-PP by $70/ton at $1050/ton and PP block copolymer by $40/ton at $1150/ton, all based on CIF SEA, LC AS term.
Source close to the producer informed, “We are encountering some unexpected technical issues at our cracker which lead to lower production rate at the downstream PE lines. This month we only have approximate 300 tons of LLDPE film to Vietnam, hence sales pressure is minimal.”
