According to market sources, Shenhua XinJiang Coal-Based New Materials Project has delayed startup of its new coal-based PE and PP units to mid of August 2016.

Located at Urumqi, China, the company has a 270,000 tons/year coal-based PE unit and 450,000 tons/year coal-based PP unit. The plant is designed to produce 1.8 million tons/year methanol. As reported earlier, the start up of the units were initially planned to come on-stream by mid of July 2016.
