According to market sources, Nan Ya Plastics Corporation has unexpectedly shut its No. 1 monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit on 3 May 2016 due to technical glitches.
Based in Mailiao, Taiwan, the No.1 MEG has a production capacity of 360,000 ton/year. It is expected to remain off-stream for 15 days.
