According to market sources, Yulin Shenhua Energy Co Ltd has emergency shut its MTO-based LDPE unit this morning due to technical glitches on the valves.

Based in Yulin, Shaanxi, China, the company has a 300,000 ton/year of LDPE plant. This plant has started up since 25 December 2015. Meanwhile, its 300,000 ton/year PP is still operating normally producing homo-PP raffia (S1003) grade at the moment.

According to a source closed to the company, the unit shall be restarting soon once the issue is being resolved.
